Yasir Qadhi

Yasir Qadhi was born in Houston, Texas, but went to high school in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He has a BSc in chemical engineering from the University of Houston. He then went on to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic from the College of Hadeeth and Islamic Sciences at the Islamic University of Madeenah, and a Master’s degree in Islamic Theology from the College of Dawah

He is a lecturer and Islamic orator who has authored several books about Islam, such as Riyaa, Hidden Shirk (1996), An Explanation of the Four Principles of Shirk (2000), and an Explanation of Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab’s Kashf al- Shubuhat: A Critical Analysis of Shirk (2003). He is a popular speaker in many Muslim circles in the United States, Canada, England and Australia.

At present Yasir Qadhi is an active instructor for the Al-Maghrib Institute and the Al-Kauthar Institute. He appears on a number of Islamic satellite channels including; Islam Channel, Huda TV, Al-Fajr, and Peace TV, where he teaches theology, Seerah, Tajweed, and other topics. He also gives regular Friday sermons and lectures.
