“The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.”
[Tirmidhi]
When reading the Qur’an and Hadith, one cannot help being struck by the number of times charity is mentioned. From feeding the poor and needy to supporting orphans, relatives and travelers, Islam emphasizes the importance of charity for every Muslim.
And what better cause to spend towards than empowering Muslims across the world with the knowledge of the Quran.
Allah says (what is translated to mean) “Those who spend their wealth in Allah’s cause are like
grains of corn which produce seven ears, each bearing a hundred grains.”
(Qur’an, 2:261)
At the Global Quran Memorization Center (GQMC), we aim to connect Muslim students with instructors who teach them how to read, understand and memorize the Quran. Back in 2016, we raised our first round of donations which was met with a phenomenal response from Muslims across the world. We are now open for our second round of donations and aim to take the mission of spreading Quranic education to the next level.
