Farhan Karmali comes from Mumbai , India. A computer geek at heart, Farhan also has a passion for Islamic Studies and Dawah . Having obtained his Masters of Computer Application degree , Farhan now pursues BA in Islamic Studies at IOU. He works as a Virtual Learning Environment developer for IOU managing various Moodle instances and is now teaching Computer 101 where he aims to equip students with computer skills which they can use for studying Islam and spreading it.

Farhan has been involved in the Moodle community for over 3 years both as an administrator and a developer. Being a technology enthusiast he loves e-Learning and web technologies and how they can be used for the sake of Islam. Farhan has helped setup and customize a number of Moodle websites, He is a freelance eLearning consultant. He regularly reviews books and courses published at packtpub.com. Farhan has also worked as a Moodle consultant for a leading elearning company in Mumbai.

Having completed his dawah training from IRF in 2009 , Farhan has been attached with various dawah organizations across Mumbai , He conducts workshops related to socio-islamic life skills for teenagers and teaches playful children at weekend Islamic classes.

Farhan loves playing games and has recently started developing Islamic Learning apps for Android which are available for free download.
