Professor Jones holds a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) degree in Christian- Muslim relations from Hartford Seminary. He also has a Masters in Religion from Yale University Divinity School, and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (History) from Hampton University.
He has been active in a number of interfaith efforts in the United States, as well as internationally. He has lectured at, taught in, or consulted for institutions in Bahrain, Bosnia, Bermuda, Egypt, India, Jerusalem, Trinidad-Tobago, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Jones has been teaching at Manhattanville for 20 years in the World Religions Department, and is also a visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences (Ashburn VA).
